Each year staff at Lakeside North Harbour Portsmouth, the south’s premier business park, votes to choose a charity that they can support. This year Lakeside is supporting the Stroke Association.
The Stroke Association is the UK's leading stroke charity changing the world for people affected by stroke. More people than ever are benefitting from cutting-edge treatments and making full recoveries and more people now understand the need to seek emergency treatment for stroke. The Stroke Association have been at the heart of every one of these developments, championing the cause of stroke and stroke survivors through research, support services, publications and campaigns raising awareness like FAST.
Tammy Angus, Community and Events Fundraiser – South for Stroke adds “We’re incredibly grateful to the staff at Lakeside North Harbour for choosing to support the Stroke Association. The funds raised will go a long way in helping to support people who are living with the effects of stroke, and their families and carers, as well as help to prevent people from having a stroke.”
Lakeside will be running a number of events during the year to help raise money for the charity, the first event for which involved filling a Seward Renault with hundreds of balloons and inviting occupiers and visitors to guess how many, as part of Strokes annual awareness month, Make May Purple for stroke.
